  Mayor William Cogswell has officially proclaimed August 4th as “Hamby Day” in the City of Charleston, in honor of Hamby Catering & Events ’ 45th anniversary.    The origins of Hamby Catering’s founding still ring true today – Mrs. Hamby answered the call to cater for the wedding of a friend’s daughter, and from there started a journey and business based on service, trust and classic Lowcountry fair.
